Many of our supporters have severe CFS/ME and often find themselves bed-bound.  Nevertheless, many of them have determinedly raised money for research and they have sent us in these ideas...

One of our bed-bound supporters asked several of their friends to promise £3 per month.  This could be broken down very easily to 75p per week.  A small sum on a weekly basis but something that adds up over the year to a sizeable amount.

Some of our supporters who are church-goers have asked their church to make a collection on their behalf.

Have you a birthday or anniversary coming up and have got to a point in your life when you do not really need anything?  Some of our supporters have and they asked their friends and relatives to instead make a donation to the CFS Research Foundation instead.

Use the 5 pence collecting pot.  The family and friends of one of our supporters put all their five pence coins into a collecting pot and in a few months had collected a sizeable sum. We now have a special 5p collecting pot label.
